Newport Swimming Pool shut for building work
Newport Swimming Pool has closed until the new year while building work takes place.

Work is being carried out to the changing rooms at the pool in Victoria Park as part of a project which is also seeing a £1 million fitness suite extension built.
Officials at Telford & Wrekin Council have said the pool will re-open in January once the changing rooms have been upgraded.
Regular users of the pool, including parents of those who take swimming lessons, have been contacted to discuss alternative arrangements during the closure.
Councillor Liz Clare, Telford & Wrekin Council cabinet member for leisure services and culture, said: "I'm delighted that we are able to deliver this exciting project for the people of Newport and surrounding rural areas."
