Whitchurch homes hit by water main burst
Households in north Shropshire woke up without water today after a main burst.

The problem was reported at about 7.40am in Marbury Road, off the A49 north of Whitchurch.
A spokesman for United Utilities apologised to those affected and said: "We have identified a burst water main and requested a team to go out and get on with repairs.
"It depends on the nature of the burst but they usually fix it pretty quickly."
He said they could not say how many homes were affected but had had a "number of calls".
