Two accidents brought disruption to roads in Shropshire.

A man was taken to hospital following a crash between a car and van on the A5 Holyhead Road opposite Nesscliffe Services in Shrewsbury at around 5.30pm yesterday.

Firefighters from Shrewsbury and a West Midlands Ambulance Service crew attended the crash. A man received treatment at the scene and was then taken to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment.

Firefighters were also called to an accident involving one car on the A458 in Middletown, near Minsterley, at 4.30pm yesterday after it was reported one person was trapped inside the vehicle but found the driver outside the car upon arrival.
