Man needs four stitches to head after Telford assault

A man needed four stitches to the back of his head after he was assaulted in Telford.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened as the 22-year-old was leaving the Telford Snooker Club in Canongate, Oakengates, at 2am on Saturday.

The victim was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford for treatment and needed four stitches to the back of his head.

The offender is described as a dark-skinned man, about 30 years old, well built, with dark hair and between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins.

PC Andy Dawson of Telford Police said: "I would urge anyone who witnessed this attack to contact us. Also, we would like to hear from anyone who recognises this man from the description given or saw him at the snooker club on the night of Friday December 13 into the early hours of Saturday December 14."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Dawson at Malinsgate Police Station by calling the non-emergency number of 101 quoting incident number 90s 141213 .
