Shropshire crews called out to Christmas Day fires

Two fires broke out in homes in Shropshire on Christmas Day.

An airing cupboard was found alight in the early hours at a house on Newfield Drive in Trench, Telford.

Fire crews from Telford and Wellington were called to the scene at about 12.30am and firefighters used one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire, which was put out by 1.15am.

A fire broke out in the living room of a home in Shrewsbury during the evening. One crew from Shrewsbury was called to a two storey house on St Andrews Road in Radbrook at about 6.30pm, but the fire was found to be out on arrival.
