Man assaulted near Telford nightclub
A man suffered a suspected broken nose after being assaulted near a nightclub in Telford.
The 20-year-old also suffered bruising and a black eye in the attack in Tan Bank, Wellington.
The victim was waiting for a taxi after leaving a nightclub between 2.15am and 2.30am when he was approached by an unknown man. Without warning the man punched the victim full in the face causing him to fall to the ground.
The offender then left the scene. The assault took place in the early hours of Friday, December 27.
West Mercia Police spokesman Chris Ammonds said: "As a result of this incident the victim suffered bruising to the right side of his face and black eye, while there remains the possibility that his nose was fractured by the punch he received.
"He did receive hospital treatment following this assault.
"The offender is described as being white, aged around 20, about 5ft 6ins tall and as having short dark hair.
"In addition, he is described as wearing a grey sweatshirt and black jeans. Officers investigating this incident believe a number of people were in the area when it occurred and they are hopeful witnesses may come forward to aid their investigation."
