Shropshire motorist to the rescue as women's car flips into field
Two women had to be rescued by another motorist when their car rolled into a field in Shropshire.
The women were travelling along the B4383 in Bishop's Castle at around 8.30pm yesterday when their Vauxhall Corsa left the road and rolled into a field.
After becoming trapped they were freed by another motorist.
One of the women was taken to hospital with back, hip and abdominal pain. The other woman did not require medical treatment.
Fire crews from Bishop's Castle and Craven Arms attended along with the police.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We were called to a road traffic collision involving one car which rolled into a field.
"Two female occupants were trapped but released by a passing motorist prior to our arrival.
"One woman was taken by ambulance to hospital complaining of back, hip and abdominal pain."
Firefighters left the scene at around 9.30pm.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said it had not been necessary to close the road.
