Telford man in jail warning over attack outside nightclub
A Telford man has been warned that he could be jailed tomorrow after he admitted punching a man at a Shropshire nightclub, leaving his victim with bleeding on the brain.
Jordan Stevens, 20, attacked Jay Dobson outside Central Square nightclub in Newport town centre on October 27.
Stevens, of Shetland Close, Horsehay, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent at Telford Magistrates' Court yesterday.
He is due to be sentenced by magistrates tomorrow after reports. Chairman of magistrates Arnold England warned Stevens that "custody is still quite likely".
Miss Sara Beddow, prosecuting, said Mr Dobson had gone outside Central Square at 2.35am for a cigarette. She said Stevens had been ejected from the nightclub and spoke to Mr Dobson before punching him.
Stevens was released on unconditional bail.
