Ex-Telford nursery manager faces £17,000 theft charges
A former manager of a Shropshire nursery has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £17,000 from her employer.
Lisa Jean Wood, 43, set up a charity at Tots and Toddlers Day Care Nursery at Old Park Primary School on Brunel Road, Telford.
It is alleged that between April 1, 2011 and August 2, 2013 she stole cash totalling £17,706 from that charity.
Appearing at Telford Magistrates Court, Wood, of Chiltern Gardens, Dawley, Telford, spoke only to confirm her name and that she understood the charges.
She did not indicate a plea to stealing sums of £14,395, £2,500 and £811. The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing at the same court on May 6.
According to the nursery website donations were for new toys, art materials, after school and holiday clubs.
