The 26-year-old made a trolley dash at Shrewsbury's branch of Iceland and managed to stuff £220.10 worth of goods in her trolley in just two minutes.

It was a dream come true for Lara, who was an avid fan of 1990s television favourite Supermarket Sweep.

Lara, of Abbey Foregate, was let loose after her mother, Cheryl, bought the experience for £80 at an auction to raise money for the Papyrus charity.

Lara's family has been involved in raising cash for the good cause, which is dedicated to reducing the number of young suicides.

Lara, a manager at an online retail firm, visited Iceland in Lancaster Retail Park the day before her challenge to work out her tactics.

She said: "I went over on Friday night and checked which aisles to focus on. I decided to go for the high-value goods like meats. I just went for it and got a lot of pizza, garlic bread, legs of lamb, Easter eggs and sliced liver. It was a good experience and just like Supermarket Sweep. My freezer is certainly well stocked now. I will be okay if the apocalypse comes."

Lara made her trolley dash on Saturday morning before the shop opened its doors.

She was only allowed to take two of each product and was not allowed loose on the alcohol shelves.

Lara's sister Anna has been heavily involved in fundraising for Papyrus.

She has helped to organise a series of events in the last year which have raised £3,186, including a three peak challenge up Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike and marathons.
