Artist's work on show in Much Wenlock
A gallery will be staging an exhibition celebrating the work of promising talents of the future.
The line-up for the event, to be held in March at the Twenty Twenty Gallery in Much Wenlock, will include award-winning Shropshire bridalwear designer Jenny Tyler.
After 38 years of drawing "thin girls in pretty frocks" Ms Tyler has changed direction to focus her passion for art on portraiture and in particular animal portraits. This will be the first official exhibition of a collection of her work.
Mary Elliott, owner of Twenty Twenty, said the Emerging Artists exhibition would help to launch a busy year for the gallery with a series of events featuring some of Britain's most renowned and sought-after artists.
She said: "Welcoming Jenny in March together with other emerging artists will be a particularly fitting way to launch this very special year at Twenty Twenty."
Ms Tyler said: "I have gained a great deal from having a close connection to Mary at Twenty Twenty, particularly since 2010 when I officially decided to step back from designing wedding dresses and concentrate fully on my painting.
"After 38 years of drawing thin girls in pretty frocks I wanted to really explore my love for painting and see what I could do with different mediums. It took time to find where my strengths were and to hone my skills."
The event runs from March 1 until April 1 with a special preview evening on February 28.
