This stunning photograph was taken from the top of the Wrekin by David Tomlinson.

He captures the station, together with the lights of Telford and, further afield, of the West Midlands.

Mr Tomlinson only took up photography in September last year so he could take better pictures at his daughter's wedding.

The 54-year-old said: "The sky was clear when I left work so I thought I'd take pictures of star trails at the top of the Wrekin. It clouded over when I got up there, but I took this picture instead.

"It was brilliant. I thought, 'Well I've got to share it'." Mr Tomlinson, who runs a garage close to his home in Wordsley, near Dudley, took the using a Canon EOS 600D.

He said he loves Shropshire, adding: "I particularly like the Wrekin. It's a lovely place. Everything's lovely from up there."
