Controversial plans to create 60 homes in north Shropshire have been recommended for approval.

The recommendations have been made ahead of a Shropshire Council meeting where proposals to create 25 homes in Tilstock, 21 in Woore and 14 in Whitchurch will be discussed.

The outline applications are among the items on the agenda for a meeting of the north planning committee on Tuesday in Shirehall at 2pm.

The Lichfield Diocesan Board of Finance wants to create 25 houses on land behind The Vicarage in Tilstock. Shropshire Council has had several letters from residents raising concerns about increased traffic and impacts on wildlife, schools and the sewage system.

Meanwhile, Oak-Ngate Ltd has applied to create 21 houses on land adjacent to The Grove, London Road, in Woore, near Market Drayton.

Also under consideration at the meeting will be an application by KLM Estates Ltd which wants to create 14 homes on land west of Chester Road in Whitchurch.

Both schemes are sparking concerns from residents.
