Members of the Corbett family, of Wellington, were in the audience to hear a lecture by Dr Tamsin Rowe titled "Victorious Above All" and telling the story of the family which carved its name in Wellington's history.

The event was hosted by the Friends of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum and was held in Coalbrookdale.

"We had a really good evening and eight members of the Wellington Corbett family turned up to hear Dr Tamsin Rowe's lecture. They were Seren, Jonathan, Jeremy, David, Fearghal, Aime, Chris and Alva," said Richard Bifield of the Friends. "The talk was called Victorious above All because the Corbetts' patented grinding mill won show prizes and was acclaimed the best in the world."

Tamsin, curatorial officer at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums, explored the history of the famous engineering family.
