Shropshire border road campaign fight featured on TV show
Residents on the Shropshire border involved in one of the county's longest running road safety campaigns say they hope being featured on TV will help their cause.
Campaigners have been calling for a bypass around the villages of Pant and Llanymynech, near Oswestry, for nearly 20 years.
They say the thousands of vehicles which use the A483 and come through their communities on a daily basis pose a constant safety problem.
The campaign to have a bypass around the villages of Pant and Llanymynech was featured on ITV Wales show Sharp End on Monday evening.
Llanymynech and Pant Parish Council chairman Councillor Dilys Gaskill appeared on the show alongside campaigner Mike Catt.
Mrs Gaskill said: "The issue has been going on for a while but it all adds to keeping the campaign's profile up.
"It shows we are still trying and we are still around and the issue has not gone away."
