Telford area sees string of break-ins on the same day

A number of homes were burgled in a part of Shropshire on the same day.

A property at Gibbons Road, Trench, Telford, was targeted on Saturday, February 1 between 3.45pm and 6.45pm.

A Kindle Fire tablet computer and £200 in cash were taken.

On the same day, a flat at Charlecote Park in Telford was burgled.

The front door was smashed in but it is not yet known what was stolen.

Between 6pm and 10pm a property in Johnston Road, Dawley, Telford, was broken into.

A back window had been smashed to gain entry.

Police said that an "untidy search" of the property was made and it is unclear what was stolen.

A break-in also took place overnight at Hartshill, Oakengates, Telford, between the hours of 12.30am and 9.30am but nothing was stolen.

A restaurant in Burton Street, Dawley, was also broken into between 8am and 10am on Saturday, February 1.

The till was stolen containing about £55 in cash.
