Talk on Ellesmere boat project

Members of the Ellesmere Society heard about the restoration of a 100-year-old Shropshire Union Canal boat at their latest meeting.

Tony Lewery gave a talk on The Saturn Project which started in 2000 and took four years to complete.

The speaker at the group's next meeting on March 18 will be Dorothy Nicolle who will give a talk called The Story of English Pub Signs. The society holds its monthly meetings at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of the month in Ellesmere Comrades' Club. Visitors and potential new members are welcome.
