Telford man robbed by gang with knife after night out
A man was robbed at knifepoint as he made his way home from a night out in Telford.
The 19-year-old handed over £20 to three men who threatened him as he walked home through Madeley in the early hours.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery, which took place on Parkway, close to the Silkin Way footbridge, at about 3am on Sunday.
West Mercia Police spokesman Chris Ammonds, said: "He was about 50 yards from where the Silkin Way goes over Parkway when three young men approached him. He was threatened and one of them pulled out a small knife. They asked how much money he had on him and he gave them £20.
"The three men then walked off in the direction of Hills Lane and the victim made his way home before contacting police."
The man who pulled the knife is described as being about 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build with a shaved head and wearing blue jeans and a grey jacket.
The victim believed the other two men were slightly taller. All three are described as being in their late 20s or early 30s.
The victim believed the knife was a kitchen knife, with a 5in to 7in blade.
