Tributes to man found dead in wood near Oswestry
Tributes have been paid to a young man who was found dead in a wood near Oswestry.
Named locally as Chris Davies, he was found at an area known as Pont Duncan, between Morda and Trefonen, at 1.15am on Monday following a police search.
Officers say no one else is believed to be involved in the death.
Tributes have been paid on Facebook.
Jay Moore, a professional musician who runs the Fusion Arts organisation based at The Centre in Oak Street in Oswestry, said: "I first met Chris when he came along to a percussion event I was running and he kept in touch after that.He was such a friendly lad and always had time for people. Chris is one smiling face I will really miss from this town."
He said that Mr Davies, who was in his 20s, had been a regular member of the audience of the Tribal Jam concerts that were held at The Fox in Oswestry.
Police say they are investigating the circumstances of Mr Davies' death and are preparing a report for the Shropshire Coroner, Mr John Ellery. Police say no-one else is believed to be involved.
