Skip is set on fire in Bridgnorth

Firefighters were called out after a skip was set alight in Bridgnorth.

A crew from Bridgnorth attended the fire in Whitburn Street at 11.40pm.

Firefighters dragged out the burning items and damped them down using a hose reel jet.

Meanwhile, firefighters were called to tackle rubbish on fire at a Shrewsbury home.

One crew from Shrewsbury was called to a house in Ellesmere Road, in Harlescott, at around 6.25pmyesterday where a small quantity of rubbish was alight in a garden.

Firefighters used buckets of water to extinguish the flames. They left the home at 6.50pm.
