John Cecil Elcock, of Broseley, ran Elcock Reisen's fleet of more than 30 coaches.

Many of the family-run coaches are used to take children to school across Shropshire.

The coach company has been working for 86 years in the industry and providing holidays, day excursions and coach hire.

In the early 1900s the Elcock Family owned a shop in Ironbridge, offering deliveries to the local area.

Later this developed into the M.H. Elcock & Son Ltd Coach Company which was established 1928 in the Ironbridge Gorge.

The company has since grown into a fleet of coaches operating from two depots in Telford, and travelling all over the UK and the continent.

Mr Elcock, formerly of Ironbridge, died peacefully at home in Broseley on Friday, March 28.

A funeral will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 19 at All Saints Church in Broseley followed by a private burial.

Family flowers only have been requested but donations can be made to Parkinson's UK.

Donations can be made via a collection box at the church or at www.williamsfunerals.com
