The Wellington Conservation Working Group is hosting the inaugural meeting of the Friends of Dothill Open Space on Wednesday to establish the formal group to look after the area.

The meeting will be held at 7.30pm at Wellington Civic Centre in Larkin Way, Wellington, Telford.

The conservation group has been working for many years to earn Local Nature Reserve (LNR) status for the large open space which is very popular with local people.

Anyone who is interested in volunteering some time or their expertise to the project is asked to go along to the meeting on Wednesday.
