Motorist taken to hospital after Ironbridge crash

A motorist was taken to hospital today after a two-car crash in Ironbridge.

The collision happened on Buildwas Road at 11.30am.

A fire crew from Much Wenlock went to the scene where they crew found no one was trapped.

One casualty was treated by an ambulance crew before being taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford with back pain.

The cars were made safe by fire crews who left the scene just after 12pm.

Claire Brown for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.50am to reports of a two-car road traffic collision on the Buildwas Road in Ironbridge.

"One ambulance attended and conveyed one patient to the Princess Royal Hospital with back pain."
