The silver car was pulled over by traffic officers in the early hours.
Police Inspector Mark Reilly said it had been taken from an address in Worcester.
"Luckily the vehicle was fitted with a tracking device. Police followed the vehicle to the Bridgnorth area and were able to bring it to a safe stop.
"No one was hurt in the police operation," he said.
He said damage to the front nearside of the car was unconnected to the stopping of the car.
A man has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
