Telford pair face charges on Shropshire break-ins

Two men have appeared in crown court to face charges over a break-in at Oswestry Golf Club and a raid on a computer business in Ellesmere.

Craig Lynas, 36, of Spring Meadow, Sutton Hill, Telford, and Travis Perkin, 19, of Hills Lane Drive, Madeley, Telford, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.

Perkins admitted burgling Safe UK Ltd in Ellesmere between September 7 and 10 last year. Computer equipment and a quantity of cash was stolen.

He also admitted going equipped for theft with balaclava, gloves and tools on September 9, 2013. But he denied a third charge of intending to burgle Oswestry Golf Club on the same date.

Lynas denied all three charges and will face trial later this year. He was granted unconditional bail.

Perkin's case was adjourned for pre-sentence reports. He was granted unconditional bail.
