Police seek Ludlow man after two burglaries
Police have issued a photograph of a man they wish to speak to in connection with two daytime burglaries.
They believe Shane Wear, 36, may have vital information concerning the break-ins on March 25 at homes in Colebatch, near Bishop's Castle, and at nearby Leintwardine just over the border.
Jewellery and cash were among the items stolen.
Detective Constable Dave Parker, the investigating officer for West Mercia Police, said: "We would like Mr Wear to come forward as he may have some important details which will help the investigation.
"We have been unable to trace him and by releasing his picture, it's hoped he will become aware we want to speak to him and make contact.
"I am asking him to contact me at the Burglary Unit, Shrewsbury Police Station by calling 101 or attending Ludlow police station.
"I am also appealing to anyone who knows of his whereabouts to get in touch. Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 or via its website, www.crimestoppers-uk.org."
DC Parker said Mr Wear's last known address was in Ludlow and he was thought to still be in the area. He also has connections with Cleobury Mortimer, Hereford and Leominster.
Anyone with information about the incidents, or those responsible, is asked to contact the police on 101.
