Four-month-old Irish terrier Charlie managed to get his leg jammed between the wheel and the main body of the bin in Wellington last night.

The drama unfolded at around 7pm and owner Beatriz Richards-Ceron, 38, called the fire service for help.

A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We managed to just loosen the plastic from around its leg and get it free.

"It was completely fine and glad of the attention of its owner."
