"We have all expressed great sadness at the loss of a fantastic lady, who was a Telford United fan through and through and worked tirelessly for the club.

"She fulfilled various roles and was a member of the trust board for many years. She assisted the club in the community and with many fund-raising initiatives.

"She will be sadly missed and I, personally, have known her myself for 15 years now. She worked for the club as recently as last week.

"I was shocked and saddened to hear that her life had been taken in this way. We are all distraught that she's no longer part of our lives."

The club described her as "the driving force" behind the club's work in the community, working with 19 local schools and coaching 26,000 local children every year.
