Police are trying to identify the driver of a Land Rover involved in a collision with a motorcyclist close to Prees, near Whitchurch.

The Land Rover had stopped at a junction in Aldersey Lane, just off the A49 at Quina Brook with the motorcyclist behind him.

Police say it is thought the vehicle then reversed, hitting the motorcyclist.

The rider fell from his machine which landed on top of him, injuring his ankle.

The collision happened shortly before 3pm on May 21, but details only emerged today after the motorcyclist made a complaint.

Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting reference 0188-s-220514.
