Village hall meeting scheduled near Newport
The annual meeting of Edgmond Village Hall, near Newport, takes place soon.

The annual accounts and the trustees' annual report will be presented at the meeting on June 17, 7.30pm.
There will also be the election of trustees.

There was controversy recently when the village hall committee announced plans to knock down the current building and to build a new hall on nearby sports pitches.
Some people remain vehemently against the proposals - but the majority of villagers voted in favour of the scheme when polls opened on May 7.
