Ann and Nigel Woodmass tied the knot on Saturday at an emotional service at Ellesmere Methodist Chapel.

Ann was diagnosed with cancer two months ago after a routine smear test – and then was told by doctors that there was nothing they could do to treat it.

Ann, 32, vowed to live each day to the full – starting by marrying Nigel, who she has been engaged to for 11 years.

Ann said: "The wedding was everything that I hoped for. It was overwhelming really.

"I hadn't seen a lot of the things because other people had helped with the organisation.

"The bouquet was lovely and my mother-in-law made the cake.

"Everyone had a really great day."

Nigel, 39, admitted that he was a bit choked as he saw his bride walking down the aisle.

He said: "It was worth the wait. Ann looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress.

"Everything went to plan and we had a really lovely day."

The couple met after a night out in Oswestry in 2002 and after a exchanging text messages the following morning they have been in love ever since.

Ann, who worked as a dinner lady at Ellesmere Primary School until recently, does not know how long she has left to live, but said she tries to forget that she has cancer.
