Telford mother and sons face cannabis charges
A mother and her two sons have appeared in court charged with growing cannabis.
Manjit Bagry, 44, Harinder Singh-Bagry, 23, and Jastinder Bagry, 18, all of Newcomen Way, Madeley, appeared at Telford Magistrates Court yesterday.
The three are all accused of producing a class B drug jointly between June 21 and October 11 last year.
Harinder Singh-Bagry, a shopkeeper in the town, also faces a second charge of producing cannabis on January 8 last year.
The amount and value of the drugs in question were not revealed in court.
Justices sitting at Telford decided their powers of sentencing were not sufficient to deal with the case and it was transferred to Shrewsbury Crown Court.
The three were bailed to appear on September 8 for a plea and case management hearing.
