Quarry fall man airlifted

A man was airlifted to hospital after he was believed to have fallen 100ft into a flooded quarry near Llangollen.

An RAF Sea King rescue helicopter was scrambled at around 8pm yesterday from Valley in Anglesey to go to the Blue Lagoon on the Horseshoe Pass.

The man was flown to a hospital at Stoke on Trent. The Blue Lagoon is popular with swimmers and divers.
