Fancy dress fun for Newtown Carnival

Newtown's annual procession started at Lower Canal Road and there was family entertainment, stalls and fun in the Town Hall grounds, before live bands provided music late into the night.
Thousands turned out for the Carnival, where there were some imaginative fancy dress costumes to be seen.
Carnival floats travelled through the town, starting at Lower Canal Road, and an afternoon of entertainment in the Town Hall grounds was followed by a free music event to showcase Newtown's musical talent.
