Six in court over brawl at pub

Six men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged mass brawl that took place in a pub in Welshpool.

The men are accused of attacking another man in The Angel public house in Berriew Street, on December 15 last year.

David Power, 19, Jason Power, 20, John Power, 18, Patrick Stokes, 25 and John Gallagher, 21, all of Leighton Arches, Welshpool, and Serafino Vinchenzo Pinchero, 19, of Long Mountain, Welshpool, are all charged with affray in relation to the incident.

Jason Power, Patrick Stokes, John Gallagher and Pinchero are charged with racially aggravated assault on Vadamis Voronins on the same day.

David Power and Patrick Stokes are charged with possessing an offensive weapon later in the same day outside The Pinewood Public House in Broad Street, Welshpool.

Power is charged with possessing a hammer and Stokes a spade.

They all appeared on bail at a preliminary hearing at Mold Crown Court.

Judge Niclas Parry rebailed all the defendants pending a plea hearing on July 25.
