Telford man admits stealing four mobile phones

A man pleaded guilty to stealing four mobile phones in one day while in possession of a knife in Telford.

Jake Anderson, of Springhill Crescent, Madeley, admitted four charges of robbery, as well as possessing an offensive weapon in the form of a kitchen knife in Castlefields Way on May 22.

He stole two Blackberry mobile phones, a Samsung and an Apple iPhone. He also admitted two attempted robberies involving mobile phones, one on the same day and another the day before.

Anderson, 23, admitted the charges at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday . He was remanded in custody while the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report for a date to be set.
