A Night To Remember took place at Shrewsbury Town Football Club in order to raise money for Team Isaac – Children With Cancer UK.

Isaac Jones died last September just before his second birthday when he lost his battle to cancer. His mum and dad Sonya and Gareth Jones have been left determined to try to help stop other families enduring this in the future.

Isaac's aunt Sarah Wareing said: "They have organised many charity events and have also taken part in gruelling challenges with their family and friends such as The Tough Mudder and The Three Peaks Challenge plus much more.

"Knowing their family leaves you just wanting to help them. We therefore put on a show which was certainly A Night To Remember for little Isaac Jones.

"The response was absolutely amazing and we couldn't have done it without the lovely people that attended on night along with the generous businesses that donated such wonderful prizes.

"We would like to thank everyone for their donations."

Sarah added: "Jessops donated a special canvas for Gareth and Sonya Jones which they loved.

"An auction and raffle took place for all of the prizes which raised over £4,000 and the sale of the tickets was outstanding as almost 200 people attended the event so the total raised was an amazing £5,638.78. The amount is being matched by a pharmaceutical company which means that A Night To Remember raised over £11,000.

"Mark Jones Isaac's uncle did a fantastic job with his brother Gareth Jones taking charge of the auction, raffle and selling tickets for the event, Sonya also took charge of getting people to the event and they wish to thank absolutely everyone."

During the event last Friday, there was a raffle and an auction and prizes up for grabs included those donated by BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Skin at Severn Tattoo's, Cromwell's, Pockets Menswear, Crossbar Coaching, MacDonald's Hotel, The Telford Hotel Golf and Spa resort, Hair Forum, Mark Jones Painting and decoration, The Sabrina Boat Trip, Dave Jones Tree Surgery, Liverpool Football Club, Shrewsbury Town Football Shop, The Sleep Shop, Ella Cru, Oberon, Graphic heart Jewellery, The Dun Cow, Ashley's Bar, Morgan's, Loch Fyne, Lisa Jones Hair & Beauty, Inocencia, Sun City, Clive at Music Bros, Body Tech, Pizza Express, Tootsies, "Macca" from The Bull In The Barn for a day's gardening, Gary Dickinson Photography, Boots at Meole Brace, The Dresser, Lipstick and Gin flowers, Junk & Disorderly, Cineworld, Nando's, AMF Bowling, Salopian Sports, ASDA, House Of Fraser, The Cornhouse, Tanner's, Toys R Us, majestic Wines, John Hughes Coaching , Ultimate Fitness Experience.
