Telford records 69 burglaries in month

There were 69 burglaries in Telford & Wrekin during June, according to new figures.

Leegomery saw the highest number of house raids, says a notice from Shropshire Neighbourhood Watch's Telford and Wrekin section.

There were 35 thefts reported in the Telford area in June, with the Telford town centre, Stirchley, Newport and Arleston areas being the most targeted.

The number of shoplifting offences totalled 31 during the same month and the majority of these took place at Telford town centre.

Five robberies happened in Newport, Trench, Little Dawley, Wrockwardine and Hadley throughout June.

And there were 13 vehicle crimes, logged with the most occurring in Woodside, Madeley and Leegomery over the month.

There were five thefts from sheds, with Ketley seeing the greatest number of these break-ins.
