A burst water main in the Ludlow area meant many homes awoke with no water or low pressure this morning, and water flooded on to the A4117 at Rocks Green.

A team of emergency engineers were sent out to the burst in the Rocks Green area by Seven Trent Water at about 8am.

They redirected water into the area, and the utility company also sent a rapid response tanker fleet to pump water back into the mains.

A spokes woman for Severn Trent Water said: "All supplies were restored by about 10am.

"It was a fairly small eight inch pipe that burst, but it caused a loss of supply.

"There are still traffic lights between Henley Road and Rocks Green while our engineers finish up the the repairs," she said.
