Telford woman admits drug plot charge
A 49-year-old Telford woman has pleaded guilty to three charges of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
Bernadette Cheryl Stewart, from Wellington, was among 12 people who appeared at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday in relation to alleged drug offences.
Three men from Telford - Robert Bushell, 38, Stuart Waterhouse, 33, and John Gough, 44 - also pleaded guilty to conspiring together to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Sentencing on Stewart, of Ercall Gardens; Bushell, of Riven Road, Hadley; Waterhouse, of Station Hill, Oakengates, and Gough, of Mill Bank, Wellington, was adjourned for reports.
Graham Stewart, 44, also of Ercall Gardens, admitted a charge of allowing his premises to be used for the supply of Class A drugs. His case was also adjourned for sentence.
Also in the dock yesterday were five other men and two women who all face allegations relating to being involved in a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs in the Telford area.
The cases of Kenneth Hogg, 38, of Hurleybrook Way, Leegomery; Liam Riggs, 20, of Chirbury, Stirchley; Matthew Thompson, 41, Market Street, Wellington; Lee Jonathan Moseley,40, of Buildwas Road, Wellington; Sean Thompson, 20, and Melanie Bushell, 38, both of Riven Road, Hadley, and Sally Bushell, 31, of Redlands Road, Hadley, were all adjourned until September 26 for a plea and case management hearing.
The defendants were all arrested in May following a series of raids in Telford and Wolverhampton by West Mercia Police as part of Operation Sift.
