Woman seriously injured in Shropshire crash

A woman in her 60s was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being cut from her car following a crash in Shropshire.

The accident happened on the B4368 at Clun in the south of the county yesterday.

An ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the accident at 9.50am.

John Hawker, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: "Unfortunately, her injuries were extremely serious."

In Shrewsbury, Kingsland Toll Bridge was closed just before 4.30pm, after an accident involving a motorbike and a pedestrian
