Daniel Lane, 29, of Sundorne Crescent, Shrewsbury, dropped wraps containing the drugs when he was spoken to by police on November 1, Shrewsbury Crown Court was told yesterday.

A subsequent search of his home found a cannabis plant and a small quantity of cannabis, the court was told.

Lane admitted possessing the heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis and admitted producing the cannabis plant.

He was given a total of six months in prison for the offences but was told he would be released from custody after the court heard he had already served the equivalent of an eight-month jail term while on remand.

Mr David Bright, prosecuting, said the heroin and cocaine had a street value of £91.

He said Lane had three previous cautions for cannabis possession.

Mr Philip Clemo, for Lane, said his client accepted his wrong doing and said he had been remanded in custody since February 27.
