His mishap provided an unexpected opportunity for club volunteer, 16-year-old Callum Parrish.
The 16-year-old, who is in the sixth form at Madeley Academy, stepped up to run the line for the best part of an hour. He's been qualified as a Level Seven referee since March, although both captains had to agree for him to be used for the rest of the game.
