Anthony Kehoe admitted four charges of fraud when he appeared at Welshpool Magistrates Court.

But magistrates withdraw a charge of failing to surrender to bail after hearing that Kehoe's parents had been killed in an horrific road crash shortly before he had been due to answer his bail.

The court was told yesterday that Kehoe, formerly of Watergate Street, Llanfair Caereinion, was now living in a caravan in Helsmere in Cheshire.

He admitted four charges of presenting a card in payment for goods, to fraudulently obtain diesel and oil.

Magistrates ordered Kehoe to undertake a 12 month community order and a 12 month supervision order. He was also ordered to pay £214 compensation and £145 of costs and victim surcharge.
