Whitchurch B&B given certificate of excellence by review website

Voted by reviewers as the number one bed and breakfast in both Shropshire and Whitchurch, Willington Lodge Bed and Breakfast Guest House has been awarded by worldwide hospitality review site, TripAdvisor.

The accommodation rating site has given its ultimate seal of approval, presenting the hotel with its Certificate of Excellence.

Home to the Morris family, the five star guest house has continued to see its success grow.

Owner Pamela Morris said: "We are delighted to be recognised by TripAdvisor in this way and by our guests who have taken their time to provide us with valuable feedback after leaving us. We currently have 100 excellent comments on the website."

"Since opening two years ago, we have had some fabulous guests who have stayed with us and we always endeavour to make their stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

"We also have more and more tourists coming to the area to visit local attractions -we've even had guests staying who have attended the Royal Liverpool Golf course for the annual Open Golf competition!"

The award is presented to businesses who consistently receive top reviews on the website, and is therefore based solely on customer feedback.

With Whitchurch being no stranger to such awards, other winners include tourist attraction Hawkstone Park Follies, White Bear Restaurant as well as B&B Sedgeford House.

The hotel's highlights including its original Georgian features, breakfasts sourced from local award-winning farm shops and the peaceful setting, and reviews on the site sing praises about all aspects of the guest house.

Sat on Horseman's Green, the hotel has also been awarded the Gold award by AA, as well as their Five Star Bed and Breakfast award.
