The work at Ruyton Manor at Ruyton-XI-Towns, which dates back to 1870, has been completed by Morris Property.

Bosses at the firm say the breathtaking manor has taken 18 months to complete and has been restored to a high standard and quality finish right down to the smallest detail.

Planning permission was granted for the work by Shropshire Council in 2012 to owners Mr and Mrs Ian Jarvis to upgrade the manor into a 21st century family home.

Bosses at Morris Property say they are delighted to have had the opportunity to work on the manor.

Ian Galliers of Morris Property said: "This has been a fascinating project to work on and certainly one of the most rewarding.

"To have the chance to restore such a beautiful country manor was a real pleasure.

"It has been a privilege to work with Arrol & Snell, the architects commissioned for the project, who are renowned for historic restoration."

The building is constructed of red sandstone coursed ashlar, which Morris Property have repointed and carefully replaced any damaged masonry.

Morris Joinery also had a hand in this spectacular restoration ensuring that all the windows and doors were repaired on site.

All the rooftops were stripped, timbers inspected and repaired where necessary and then any that needed replacing were done so using existing or matching roof covering.

This meant that an impressive roof terrace could be constructed which take in spectacular views across Shropshire.

The work means Ruyton Manor has now been restored to a fully functioning comfortable family home with new amenities including a new pool house and swimming pool complex, garaging and a stainless steel kitchen deck area all of which have been managed by Morris Property.
