Telford robber pushes over girl, 10, and grabs her phone

A 10-year-old girl was pushed to the ground for her mobile phone in a vicious daytime attack.

The girl suffered minor injuries after robbers pushed her over and snatched her mobile phone in Pool Farm Avenue in Leegomery.

The thief is described as a white man, aged 18 to 19 years old, of a slim build and five foot eight inches tall. He had short gingery blonde hair, green or blue eyes, a pointed face with sharp features and a skinny nose.

He was wearing a black beanie hat, black hooded top with an orange Adidas logo on the left side of the chest, black baggy jogging bottoms and black trainers.

Superintendent of Telford and Wrekin, Nav Malik, said: "We are taking this offence very seriously and it is being investigated thoroughly.

"We will work hard to ensure this offender is brought to justice. I ask for anyone who saw a man of this description in the area to make contact with police."

The crime took place at around 3.45pam on Thursday (AUG 14)
