Letter: Booming in Britain, mainly immigration

The papers inform us today that car sales are booming, last month it was a baby-boom, last week it was house prices rising faster than anywhere else in Europe.

They have reported that the NHS is on its knees, that A&E departments are finding it difficult to cope with an excess of patients wanting attention.

A full range of reasons, explanations and justifications are offered – we are coming out of recession, there are more people in work and less on benefit. You will hear every excuse under the sun except mass immigration. A serious Governmental error has been made regarding immigration and they do not want you to know about it, even though every single item in the first paragraph can be legitimately linked to two million immigrants over the last 24 months.

Do not believe Government figures on this subject, multiply it by 10 then add a few more. Do not blame the immigrants, it is human nature to want more for yourself and your family, I believe we all understand that. They all want a house, a car, a job, a hospital, a doctor and a school.

Incompetent politicians failed to recognise that we are an island with finite space.They, and the European Union have much to answer for.
