Woman needed operation after Telford nightclub attack

A woman was beaten so badly in an attack at a Telford nightclub she had to have surgery.

The 22-year-old was assaulted by three women during a night out at Pussycats nightclub in Wellington.

The victim was on the first floor of the nightclub when she started talking to a woman she did not know.

They were then joined by two other women, when the three began to punch her, causing her to fall on the floor where they continued to assault her.

The victim had serious injuries to her face and head and required surgery following the attack which took place between 3am and 3.30am on Sunday, August 31.

There is limited description of the assailants, but West Mercia Police understood that there were a number of other people present at the time.
