Travellers set up new illegal camp in Telford
Travellers have set up an illegal camp on land close to a major Telford business park.
The caravans appeared on Redhill Way, Donnington, close to the Lyreco factory, earlier this week.
It is believed they are the same group which moved from another camp off junction 4 of the M54, close to the Shifnal service station.
The group had been on that land for more than a month, and left residents in Shifnal outraged over the mess dumped behind after they left the site.
The travellers have moved metal gates in order to get on to the land in Donnington and first appeared on Wednesday.
The land they have set up on belongs to the Homes and Communities Agency, which said it is already taking steps to get them moved.
Johanne Thomas, a spokeswoman for the HCA, said: "The HCA is aware of travellers on its site in Donnington and we are in the process of removing them from the site."
